Betsy Smith is a longtime Oxford, Mississippi resident, business owner, and community leader with more than 20 years of experience supporting education, philanthropy, and economic opportunity across North Mississippi. As the owner and operator of five McDonald’s restaurants, she has led numerous community initiatives, including school fundraisers, student sponsorships, and free summer programs for children.

 

Betsy serves on the board of First National Holding Company, providing oversight and strategic guidance, and recently joined the Board of Directors of CREATE Foundation. She previously served on the Oxford School District Board of Trustees and the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce and remains involved with the Ole Miss Women’s Council for Philanthropy. Her dedication to her employees and community has earned her several awards recognizing leadership and service, including the Regional Street-Fighter Award, Employer Pinnacle Award, and SERVE Award.
